The Digital Creative Process

Updated: Jul 7, 2019

There are many times where we want to sit down with our craft supplies, but it's just not convenient or available. But how many of us always have a phone, tablet, or laptop close by? If you get the crafty bug like I do (and if you're reading this, then I know you do) then you can utilize Cricut Design Space to scratch that itch.

I use Cricut Design Space all of the time. I can scroll through images to get ideas, I can plan scrapbook layouts, and I can create cards and other projects. Most recently I created the Sea Shell Easel Card that you see here.

There are an amazing amount of things you can do in Cricut Design Space to compile shapes and images, alter images to suit your needs, and cut just the right pieces using your Cricut machine. I use a Cricut Explore One and it was completely worth the investment. I've made t-shirts, vehicle window decals, cards, scrapbook pages, photo props, and holiday gifts. There really isn't much you can't do; especially when you own the Close To My Heart digital Cricut collections. These collections contain literally HUNDREDS of amazing images that will inspire you again and again.

Just to give you a taste of how I design a project, I've filmed a YouTube Video and walked you through my design process from start to finish for the Sea Shell Easel Card project. I hope you enjoy it and please let me know if you like these kinds of tutorials!
