Easy Photo Card with Cricut and Close To My Heart
I am not an artist. You will hear me say that a lot...A LOT. Seriously, I'm a bit crafty but I am terrible at coming up with ideas. What I am good at is running with an idea once I have a starting point. That is why I simply adore the Cricut Collections from Close To My Heart. The images they contain are so inspiring and always get the creative juices flowing. Each collection has HUNDREDS of images and I haven't even come close to using them all. These images are great starting points for me when I am trying to come up with a project design like the Sea Shell Easel Card that you see here.
For this card I used the You Are Here digital collection. This collection has shapes for vacation, relaxation, sports, travel, events, family, outdoor activities and more! Every collection also includes a font and 3 'D' size stamp sets. I can't get enough of these digital collections and when they are released, I get my hands on them as quickly as possible! Oh that crafty goodness.
It's so easy to find some images to place on a card or scrapbook layout, cut them with your Cricut machine, and Voila! You have a super artsy, crafty project without a lot of effort. Now for this project, I actually started with an image from Close To My Heart and took it to the next level by manipulating it into a card. You certainly don't have to do all of that extra work if you don't want to. I just enjoy it.
I've filmed a YouTube video for you on how I cut and compiled this card using the Seaside paper pack that's back for a limited time. I think it really helps showcase my little mermaid of a granddaughter. What do you think?
